Architectural accessibility

For its headquarters Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego currently occupies two facilities:

VARSO 2 building at ul. Chmielna 73, 00-801 Warsaw

The building has the "Barrier-free facility" certificate.

The public spaces occupied by the bank are not accessible to the public. Persons who have made an appointment with a bank employee, registered at the reception desk of the bank and downloaded an access card can enter the bank.

  1. There are 3 entrances to the building: two from Chmielna Street and one from the parking at Al. Jerozolimskie. At the entrance there are revolving doors and a classic door (with a button) that can be used by e.g. people in wheelchairs or with suitcases.
  2. The elevators are designed to accommodate people with disabilities. The elevators have, among other things, a door-closing restraint system, handrails and audio information and voice communicators inside the cabs.
  3. Toilets adapted to the needs of people with disabilities are located on each floor. On the ground floor such toilets are located in the transverse main lobby, to the right of the reception desk.
  4. Evacuation procedures take into account the evacuation of a person with a disability.
  5. Parking spaces. There are three parking spaces designated for people with disabilities in front of the building on Chmielna Street. Such spaces are also located in the underground parking lot, accessible by ticket.
  6. Guide dog. You may enter the building with a guide dog.
  7. Polish sign language interpreter. The bank provides the possibility of remote connection with Polish sign language interpreter via the bank’s website or directly in BGK’s headquarters (reception).
  8. The door leading to BGK Conference Center in elevator halls A is fitted with special actuators for automatic door opening. Such actuators are also fitted on other floors (4a, 5b, 6ac, 8c) to allow our employees to move freely.
  9. The induction loop is located at the reception desk. It is also possible to use the induction loop during meetings with clients.

Central Tower Building – Al. Jerozolimskie 81

The public spaces occupied by the bank are not accessible to the public. Persons who have made an appointment with a bank employee may enter the bank. You can move around the bank only when accompanied by a BGK employee.

  1. The main entrance is from Tytus Chałubiński Street, corner of Al. Jerozol\nimskie. Revolving doors and swing doors lead to the entrance.
  2. There is a reception desk in the hall on the ground floor opposite the entrance. On the left side of the reception there are elevators adapted to the people with different needs.
  3. On each floor there are marked toilets adapted to the needs of people with disabilities.
  4. Evacuation procedures take into account the evacuation of a person with a disability.
  5. Parking places. There are widely accessible parking spaces designated for people with disabilities in Al. Jerozolimskie and on Nowogrodzka Street. There are no architectural barriers between them and the building.
  6. Guide dog. You may enter the building with the guide dog.
  7. Sign language interpreter. The bank provides the possibility of remote connection with Polish sign language interpreter via the bank’s website or directly during the meeting with the bank’s employee.
  8. It is also possible to use the induction loop during meetings with clients.
