Urbanization and urban development drive the expansion of sealed surfaces into the areas that were previously sparsely developed and covered with vegetation. This increases the intensity of outflow of rainwater, adversely affecting the functioning of urban infrastructure and water recipients. The problem of periodical excess of water requires a number of actions aimed at its management, and in the case of water contamination, also its disposal.
