Based on the analysis of the potential of the Polish energy sector and industry, global technological trends and local resources ensuring energy security and enabling the Polish energy sector to become competitive, the authors of the study identified four main areas for the development of energy innovations. Among them were: Integrated and interconnected energy system giving the energy user a central role, Effective and flexible energy generation and raw material acquisition, combining the reduction of environmental impact with energy security, Diversification of production technologies and effective use of energy, Ecological and energy-efficient city.
Four segments of the development of energy innovations meet various scenarios of changes in the energy sector, both in Poland and in the world.
